About Alpaca Angel Acres

History of Our Colorado Alpaca Farm

It was instant love of the alpaca for Laurie Kennon after seeing an Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (AOBA) commercial on television. Laurie began learning all she could about these amazing animals. After visiting several alpaca farms and just being with the alpacas and their wonderful owners, Laurie and her husband Eddie knew they wanted to be a part of this young and quickly growing industry.

However, there was one thing missing in all their visits to alpaca farms, and that was “time”.

Spending time at an alpaca farm and just being around alpacas is extremely rewarding. These tranquil, sweet-natured animals just seem to melt away our human emotions and stress. But most alpaca farm visits are just too short to gain a thorough understanding or relax entirely. Time is what Laurie and Eddie wanted to be able to give visitors and friends looking into alpaca ownership or those just wanting to experience the joys and rewards of life on an alpaca farm.

Dedicated to the Alpaca Industry

Following the teachings of Marty McGee Bennett, Laurie is committed to Camelidynamics.  Currently a certified handler Laurie's goal is to obtain practitioner status to enhance all of the alpaca services offered at Alpaca Angel Acres.

Alpaca Angel Acres is proud to be members of the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association, Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies, the Alpaca Fiber Cooperative of North America and the Alpaca Registry, Incorporated.
